“…True prayer is measured by weight, not by length. A single groan before God may have more fullness of prayer in it than a fine oration of great length.” – C. H. Spurgeon
No rational being, equipped with spiritual knowledge, can deny the role of prayer in human life.
The real question, however, has to do with the how, whys and wherefores of prayer.
Lots of people believe in the showmanship of prayer. But Victor Hugo says “To give thanks in solitude is enough. Thanksgiving has wings and goes where it must go. Your prayer knows much more about it than you do.”
Whatever your opinion about prayer, this fact you shouldn’t overlook, that it is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.
