Being In Harmony
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be the reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” – Lao-Tzu
No matter how much orderly structure you have built into your daily life, there’ll always be things you can’t control. These disruptions, if you allow them, can be a significant source of annoyance, frustration and tension.
For example, despite expecting a peaceful routine this morning, your water pipe bursts in your bathroom and you spend a stressful morning removing the carpet and cleaning up the mess, fixing the pipe. You’re angry, upset and hassled.
Everyone experiences these challenges – things happening to disrupt plans, friends letting you down, plans not going your way.
What’s the solution? Simply go with the flow, accept the change and don’t be flustered. Take what life gives you rather than trying to mould life to be exactly as you want it to be. It’s called being in harmony.
