Forgive and be Free
“When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free.” – Catherine Ponder
It’s a virtue to forgive anytime you’re hurt. But we must acknowledge that the more intense the hurt, the more difficult it is to forgive.
Ironically, we remain painfully bound to those who have hurt us, as long as we do not forgive them.
One great benefit of forgiving is that when you truly forgive, you receive untold peace and happiness.
Whatever you do, always remember that it takes a strong person to say I’m sorry, and an even stronger person to forgive.
