“He who angers you conquers you.” – Elizabeth Kenny
“Whack! Whack!! Whack!!!” The belt landed in quick succession and high intensity on the unwilling back of the 12-year-old boy.
You could feel the father’s intense anger. Reason? The son just failed a Maths test!
Everybody gets angry once in a while, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The real problem is what you do with your anger.
Do you know that anger is a short madness? It ignites a fire in your heart and sends smoke into your head, which distorts your sense of proportion and propriety.
Do you find it difficult to control your anger? Be informed that it is just one letter short of danger.
Just as bitterness is like cancer that eats up the host, anger is like the fire that burns up everything within its reach.
Do you have cause to be angry? By all means, be. But be wise – direct your anger towards the problem, not the person – focus your energies on the solution.
Have A Cheerful Day!
Did you know? – Anger affects your health negatively.
