SPIKE YOUR DAY SERIES: ARISE- AFTER YOUR CALAMITY

Spread the love

“He who faces no calamity will need no courage. Mysterious though it is, the characteristics in human nature, which we love best grow in a soil with a strong mixture of troubles.” – Harry Emerson Fosdick

Between 1967 & 1970, Nigeria fought a very bitter civil war during which the Igbo race was slaughtered in their millions, with little or nothing for them after the war.

Within 15 years after the war, this same Igbo race, ragged in body but stubborn in spirit, had returned to dominate and command commerce and industry in the country.

History is replete with how great civilizations emerged from harrowing difficulties and suffering.

Necessity is indeed the mother of invention.
No doubt, great adversity, and hardships have befallen the Clime called Nigeria – the giant of the black race is sprawling flat on its face.

But, rather than lament the failings, use the challenging times to create opportunities for learning and success – for yourself.
