“Don’t try to make everyone happy; you can’t. The only ones who try are clowns.” – Matshona Dhliwayo
Yesterday, a mentor gave me a piece of advice. Given our differences in age, philosophy and worldview, I felt that his advice would compromise my position and intention.
So I turned it down. He was angry and disappointed because he thought that I should have accepted it and run with it.
Some people think that advice must be implemented simply because somebody they consider significant gave it.
Do you do this sometimes?
If so, you’d better check yourself. Otherwise, you’ll wreck yourself. Accept advice only because you’re convinced it’s right.
Don’t try to be Sunnie or Temie next door. God doesn’t want a lion to be a hill, a river, or wood.
The Universe has endowed you with unique talents. Understand them then work to develop them. That’s the way to be you.
Have A Lovely Day!
