Armed Robbers Behead Two During Raid in Ilorin

A policeman and a security man were beheaded during an armed robbery attack on an NNPC mega station in Ilorin.

The armed robbers attacked the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation mega station on Saturday evening in the Asa Dam area of Ilorin.

Newsmen gathered that the robbers attacked after the filling station had closed, and its staff had left for their respective homes.

As a result of the incident, the station was locked down throughout Sunday, as residents feared for another bout of fuel scarcity in the region.

Ajayi Okasanmi, the Police Public Relations Officer in the Kwara State Police Command confirmed the attack on the NNPC mega station. He however affirmed that investigation has commenced regarding the case.
