The University of Lagos has set up a panel to investigate two of its lecturers exposed by a BBC Africa documentary to have sexually harassed undercover reporters in the university.
Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu of the Department of European Languages and Integrated Studies, and Dr. Samuel Oladipo of the Department of Economics were caught on video in the documentary sexually harassing undercover reporters disguised as students.
The school authorities announced the suspension of Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu on Monday, while Dr. Oladipo was suspended on Tuesday after the second stream of the documentary was released.
The UNILAG management announced on Wednesday through the Principal Assistant Registrar, Communication Unit, Taiwo Oloyede, the it had set up a panel to probe the two lecturers and other related cases.
Oloyede encouraged students and members of the staff with relevant information that would help the panel in their investigations to come forward, assuring that their identities would be protected.
